Watch movement measurements need context
Why rate, amplitude, beat error, power reserve and pressure checks need methods, conditions and dates.
A number needs context
A measurement becomes useful when its conditions are known: watch position, state of wind, duration, date and instrument. An isolated figure gives an incomplete picture.
Different questions need different checks
Rate deviation, power reserve and water resistance describe different properties. Each needs an appropriate method and its own record. One successful check does not establish another property.
Evidence before a promise
An inspection record should leave an untested field marked as not measured. Presentation and imagery should never stand in for a missing technical result.
Educational content only. It does not document an inspection of an individual watch.
